North Santiam River

different seasons...different rivers...different boats...same success

    Beginning in the early spring, I fish the North Santiam.  Located south of Salem, the North Santiam is filled with winter steelhead in February and March and summer steelhead and spring Chinook from April through June.

    My Willie sled boat takes me to those just-right holes swirling with fish.   Early morning is usually the best fishing, however, afternoons can be exciting.
