The upper McKenzie float begins at Frissell-Carpenter or Paradise. Enjoy the action of paddling through rapids after rapids between boulders on pristine waters and bordered by old growth Douglas firs. On this stretch, we can stop at Log Cabin Inn for lunch, or, if you prefer, you can bring sack lunches. |

We can launch at Blue River or Finn Rock. This stretch offers variety. Mixed in with Class II Brown's Hole and the famous Class III Martin's Rapids is slow, relaxing water. This provides perfect water for water fights and/or time to relax and enjoy the osprey nests and old growth scenery. We usually stop at Splauding Rock for a sack lunch and a jump from the rock. |
